I am proud to be part of a group at Fathom SEO that has publicly released a free social media newsroom template for WordPress. After months of determining the needs of Fathom’s own SEO Pressroom, we decided to design a generic theme that any company can use for their own newsroom/pressroom/social media newsroom/etc. The theme is highly customizable for anyone with WordPress coding knowledge.
A new free template from Fathom SEO allows businesses to create and update a central Web page for media visibility and social networking. The customizable template is a downloadable theme designed for the WordPress blogging application.

Let me start by saying I love playing Ping Pong. This dates back to my teen years playing games with my buddies in my best friend’s basement.
Earlier in 2007 I was able to buy a table for my place of work for $50 bucks. What a steal! My co-workers play games on it daily and it has become a great stress reliever for breaks during and after the work day. View a YouTube video that our ping pong table starred in.
I have always wanted to buy a full-sized ping pong table for my condo, but realized I just don’t have the room for it, except in my single car garage. Even storing it in my garage would take up almost an entire wall and leave no room for stuff like my ladder, garbage can, and grill.
This dilemma lead to my online search to try to find a high-quality and affordable mini ping pong table for my basement. Unfortunately, the search results didn’t lead me to many options. After an extensive search of combing through bogus search engine listings (thanks again Google), I came across a few options, but they seemed overpriced and lacking quality.
Recently I came across two tables with promise: one at totaltabletennis.com for $249.99, and one at amazon.com for $146.87. Both are virtually the same exact tables, and I’m most likely going to purchase the one at Amazon and use a $50 promotional certificate I have. BUT, the certificate code is not working. That’s another story.
Anywho, I came up with an idea to create a site for mini ping pong tables [http://www.minipingpongtables.com] to help searchers find the best tables for sale on the web. The site is a work in progress, but I intend to make it a valuable resource for those that have the same problem I had.
I see opportunities like this all the time from my experiences as a searcher on Google, but I don’t always act on them due to my limited time for web projects. It is really unfortunate there are so many misleading/bogus results in the search engines. Also it makes me cringe to think of all the legitimate companies that fail to recognize the opportunity to optimize their websites for a specific key phrase like “mini ping pong tables”.
Search engine optimization works! I have seen it firsthand dealing with many diverse clients with small to large websites. If you can’t handle search engine optimization on your own, it is well worth the money to hire a search engine marketing firm (like Fathom SEO) or an individual consultant to get your site up to speed.

NVOHK is an eco-clothing company managed by the people who wear it. I signed up for this community a month or two ago as I think it’s a neat concept to be involved in. Although I have never surfed before in my life, I am always on the lookout for interesting surf/skate clothing lines.

My goal with creating the site is to maintain a high-quality listing of social media and networking websites. Think of the site as a tool that you can use to identify the best websites for you or your clients to participate in.
I encourage all visitors to rate and write reviews for each and every listing. Please feel free to write your experiences for each website in regards to; SEO, membership base, demographics, usability, referral traffic, advertising opportunities, etc.
Besides manually reviewing and adding sites I have indentified as top-notch, I also allow social media site operators to submit their website to be included in our directory. All submissions are manually reviewed for quality and relevance.

I’m in love with Quotes from The Office (www.quotesfromtheoffice.com). Is it a blog? Well, OK, technically no, it’s not really a blog. But it is an amusing Web site and one that demands to be written about.
It is just what you’d suspect - a collection of quotes from “The Office” (NBC’s hit show), although it is not affiliated with NBC. And it’s not just a random collection. This is a highly organized quote list with highlights from every episode, organized by season. The site recently got a sleek redesign, and now allows you to browse by character or search the quotes.
